Powernet's Edita Dolan-Mayo has been named one of the Cincinnati Business Courier’s 2019 Forty Under 40 honorees.

CINCINNATI, OH - September 23, 2019 - Powernet is proud to announce that Edita Dolan-Mayo, director of marketing & community affairs, has been named one of the Cincinnati Business Courier’s 2019 Forty Under 40 honorees. The annual Forty Under 40 awards recognizes the Greater Cincinnati region’s young talent who have made a difference in business and the community. All honorees are selected based on career achievements, community involvement, awards, and recognitions. The Powernet team would like to congratulate all members of the Forty Under 40 class of 2019.

“After years of doing work I love, it's an honor to be recognized by the Cincinnati Business Courier and Forty Under 40 Alumni,” says Dolan-Mayo. “Nominees every year are gifted and brilliant folks probably making it very hard to choose which 40 will be honored. Being named alongside all of these talented individuals is an incredible compliment to the work I’ve done.”

Dolan-Mayo’s Forty Under 40 honor stems from a career that has impacted hundreds of businesses and thousands of community members. After finding a home with Powernet, she quickly grew within the company and became brand manager for Powernet’s charitable “Buy-One-Give-One” program, Gift1. She continued to grow into her current role as Director of Marketing and Community Affairs. In this position, Dolan-Mayo is leading the company’s marketing team while utilizing her access to technology and connections to community groups to play a key role in community initiatives, such as bringing Wi-Fi to the Lower Price Hill and Avondale communities.

Outside of her role at Powernet, Dolan-Mayo has worked with the Mayo Home For Youth Development as the Business Development Manager for over 10 years. In recent years Dolan-Mayo has made a difference in the community as the Marketing Chair for GRAD Cincinnati, as a board member of the Council on Child Abuse (COCA), and more.

Dolan-Mayo’s contributions to the community have been recognized by the Medical Mutual Pillar Award for Nonprofit Board Executive of the Year and her inclusion in the United Way of Greater Cincinnati’s “Champions of Change” program.

“Edita’s impact on Powernet and within the community is something to be celebrated,” says Alli Stevens, CEO of Powernet. “She has grown Powernet’s brand awareness nationwide. Edita also led the charge for our vision to erase the digital divide while making a name for herself through personal community efforts. The work Edita has done over the years has directly impacted hundreds of Cincinnati residents and will continue to positively affect thousands more.“
