The Western & Southern Open is a 9-day tennis event in Mason, Ohio. Since it’s only a 9-day event, the facility needed a bullet-proof Wi-Fi solution. The Western & Southern Open hosts up to more than 200,000 fans on any given day. Looking to find a solution that was reliable and solid in this environment, Ruckus was the clear choice. Powernet and Ruckus teamed up to equip the venue with a mixture of indoor and outdoor access points managed by the Ruckus Virtual SmartZone.

Public Wi-Fi Network Case Study
The Cincinnati Zoo is a non-profit organization open to the public and located in Avondale, Ohio. Looking to deliver a better user experience for visitors and a more efficient work environment for employees, Powernet & Ruckus partnered together to provide a variety of indoor and outdoor 802.11ac access points (APs) placed strategically throughout the zoo. Managing the APs is the virtual SmartZone controller. The zoo is also using SPoT, a software that provides location services to identify where the guests seem to congregate. The Ruckus solution provided the zoo with exceptional Wi-Fi.
