Penny Thurnau has accepted the position of Vice President of Strategic Alliances.

CINCINNATI, OH - October 23, 2018 - Powernet, a woman-owned full-service technology provider, is pleased to announce that Penny Thurnau has accepted the position of Vice President of Strategic Alliances. In her new role, Thurnau will be working with various indirect sales agents through Powernet’s channel program, as well as vendors and technology partners to create and execute engagement strategies that will generate measurable growth for both Powernet and its partners.

“For the last eight years, Penny has demonstrated the ability to adapt and succeed in various markets for our channel program,” says Alli Stevens, CEO of Powernet. “I’ve seen Penny’s passion for the channel over the years. Her drive to make Powernet’s channel program exceptional is exciting and makes her a perfect fit for her new role.”

Thurnau has been with Powernet for 18 years. Her responsibilities quickly outgrew her role as Thurnau began experiencing success in many of Powernet’s sales verticals including the channel program and Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) sales. These verticals require Thurnau to work closely with partners while having a strong understanding of their strengths and which solutions will enable them to find success in their industry. Her experience bringing in the right vendors and matching partners with the right products and services offered by Powernet has been the key to Penny’s success and what makes her the ideal fit for the Vice President of Strategic Alliances role.

Thurnau already has big plans to bring in additional partners and increase Powernet’s presence in the indirect sales channel. After beginning a sponsorship of the Alliance of Channel Women and joining and becoming a chapter committee member of the Dayton, Ohio chapter earlier this year, Thurnau is actively working toward increasing Powernet’s participation within the Alliance. She hopes to expand the Alliance’s reach into the Cincinnati area in the near future.
